Glamazons vs The Curse of the Chainmail Bikini

Created by Prettiest Princess Games

The Glamazons have been pushed to the brink, not by monsters - monster killing is easy - but by the tasteless medieval blacksmiths and sweaty cave dwellers who design useless femme armor! Help our intrepid heroes smash, bash and crash through minotaur heads, kappa shells, and the male gaze in their quest to be the first Glamazon decked out in gear that not only looks fab but provides real monster fighting protection.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

GAMMA Trade Show & ConnCon
about 11 years ago – Thu, Mar 12, 2015 at 12:55:54 PM

Hi everyone, things are still crawling along with art but they are moving forward. I played with a couple of backers and some new friends at PAX East this past weekend and it was awesome as always.

I'll be at ConnCon from the 12th (today) until the 15th, and then in Vagas for GTS from the 15th to the 20th. Let's hang out! We can play games, I'll buy you beers, and you can kick me around for things taking so long. My cell number is 203-524-5756, and that's always the best way to get in touch with me, especially if you text.

New Year, New Update
about 11 years ago – Tue, Jan 20, 2015 at 12:49:26 PM

Hey everyone, I find myself planning updates but then waiting for something more exciting to share and then it taking forever and thus not updating enough.

But I want to assure everyone that things are still moving forward, albeit at a very slow pace. It's been a lot of back and forth, some false starts, and some total failures, in the process of getting the art finished. We have some amazing stuff but still need more. I've committed to getting top quality amazing art that not only looks great, but also carries through the themes and ideas we're looking to express. While also meeting the functional requirements of being made into reusable vinyl stickers. It's a tall order.

That said, it's still taking way longer than it should be. But Prettiest Princess is not my sole focus in life and as such, things sometimes don't get done as quickly as possible. Glamazons is a labor of love for me; a true passion project. I've already gone way over budget on art due to the changes and I don't mind, but it does slow things down even more. Life continues to create a maelstrom around me both professionally and personally and Glamazons doesn't always get the attention it deserves. It's deeply disappointing to me that a project I had planned to wrap up a long time ago is still being worked through.

Rest assured that Glamazons is coming and no one wants it out more than I do. As always, if you want to talk to me about any of this, my cell number is 203-524-5756 and texts/calls are the best way to reach me.

GenCon and An Artist!
over 11 years ago – Sun, Aug 31, 2014 at 12:55:22 PM

Hey I'm writing this from my phone speeding down the interstate so pardon it's brevity and poor writing skills. I've been super busy between San Diego Comic Con, World Boardgame Championships, and now driving a truck to GenCon.

I've been talking with a number of artists working out details on what they can do for the project, and I'm super excited that I'm able to announce the first new artist to officially join the project; Joe Wilson. Dude is awesome and has done work on all sorts of rad games for the likes of Blizzard, Fantasy Flight, and Paizo. He's going to be doing a Glamazon, a monster, and a set of armor. The stuff we've been talking through so far is super exciting and I can't wait to see it finished and show you all!

As mentioned, I'm on my way to GenCon right now. I'm helping Asmadi Games (not actually sure what I'm doing so far besides helping drive the truck to Indy haha) but let's hang out! Obviously the Glamazons GenCon launch party of awesome times is still on hold till we actually have the game produced, but I wanna get you all trashed and into mischief with me! So if you're at GenCon, hit me up and we'll party. My cell is 203-524-5756, texts are best.

Horseshoes and Handgrenades
over 11 years ago – Thu, Jul 31, 2014 at 05:51:33 PM

As a wise puppet once told me as a kid “do or do not, there is no try”, and that's really where we're at. I certainly have excuses and literal sob stories for the delays and lack of communication lately, but frankly, you all shouldn't care. Professional and personal things got way out of my control, but ultimately it's still all on me that I dropped off the face of the earth for a bit and Glamazons is so late, and going to be later still. I want to assure you 110% that Glamazons is going to come out, it's going to be awesome, and I will personally figure out some way(s) to hopefully repay your support through all this. I asked for your help, you gave it, and I owe you all far more than just a game. Exponentially more so now.

I was hoping to have more concrete details in place before making this update, and that kept getting pushed back. So where do we stand now? A few weeks ago Joe informed me that he was no longer going to be able to keep working on the project. We'll still have all the art he has gotten finished, but he's not doing any more. We're still friends, he's still amazing, but between it taking way way longer to get to as much art as is finished out the door than it should have, him leaving with the project unfinished really puts a kink in the plan. The huge plus side is that now I have been able to retake control of getting things done, so my involvement is no longer just pestering Joe to work more.

What's the next step? After a lot of thought and consultation, I've decided that instead of trying to hire someone to ape Joe's style, what we're going to do is hire a number of different artists and play off of a variety of stereotypical art styles. I'm looking to get things like anime, 70's book covers, 40s pin ups, and 90's Liefield, among others, to round out the representations of silly depictions of female armor. It's still a huge disappointment to no longer have a game full of Joe's awesome work, but we'll still be getting great quality work. Plus, I'll now only be looking for a piece or two from any single artist and once the artists get to work, things should be moving a lot quicker.

For those of you who supported the project just because you wanted a bunch of new art from Joe, I just ask that you wait until you see the final finished project before passing judgment. If you really don't want it at that point, I'll offer you a full refund. It's going to be full of awesome artwork, but not all Joe's and I fully understand if anyone feels like there was a bait and switch here. Believe me when I say that no one is more disappointed in losing Joe than I am.

I could apologize here all day and talk about everything that's been going on to explain things, but it still wouldn't change anything. So I'm just going to do is get back to work on getting Glamazons out to you all because that's all anyone really wants. I hope to have some more concrete information soon, and when I do I'll be posting another update. If anyone wants to talk to me more directly, my personal email is [email protected] and my cell number is 203.524.5756 The big take away here is that I'm not dead, I didn't run away with all your money, and Glamazons is going to come out. Eventually.

Thanks so much for all the support.

More new art!
almost 12 years ago – Sat, Apr 26, 2014 at 11:51:56 PM

Hey everyone, I got some new art in from Joe and while we're still not going at the pace we had originally planned for, Joe is certainly making it worth our while...

I've also got shirts settled and have set up a little survey to collect the info I need to get them printed and sent out to you.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2HLPD93

If you added on a shirt, please go fill it out! Without this info I can't send you your shirt!

If you didn't add on a shirt, you can just ignore this survey. If you want an additional shirt or you didn't add one on with the KS, you can go order one direct off the Prettiest Princess Games store and I'll get it sent out to you.

Thanks so much for all the support, we love you!
